Edge Bio

Edge rose through the ranks of wrestling along side his real life best friend and stage brother Christian. Together they were tag team champions. His WWF career began in 1998 and he has spent mostly the majority of his career in the RAW brand of the WWE. During his career he has at one time or another won all of the major championship belts, which puts him in good company with other WWE wrestling legends. In May of 07 on RAW Edge beat Mr. Kennedy to claim the victory in the money in the bank match giving him the pink slip to a title opportunity. That same week Batista and the Undertaker were going at it in a brutal match that also saw Mark Henry come out and viciously attack Undertaker. Edge saw this as the perfect time to cash in and with one 'spear' to the injured Undertaker, he became the new world heavyweight champion. As a result, he now became part of the SMACKDOWN brand of the WWE. Batista who wanted what he thought of as his belt then began feuding with Edge but never got it back after three tries. Kane then began feuding with Edge and became the number one contender but didn't get much of a chance because Edge had to give up his belt due to an injury. He stated he would need about four months to recover to make his return back to Friday night smackdown. After much time off Edge came back to Smackdown but everyone was shocked because it was learned that he had an on going affair with what he calls the love of his life - Vickie Guerrero. Since coming back Edge has recaptured the world heavyweight championship belt back and has defended it against Rey Mysterio among others. Chavo Guerrero, whom Edge helped to capture the ECW Championship and the Edgeheads (formerly known as the Major Brothers) became part of Edge's alliance. On March 30, 2008 Edge lost his world heavyweight championship belt to the Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXIV as he tapped out of the Undertakers submissive move. Edge had an opportunity to recapture the title at Backlash but once again fell prey to the Undertakers triangle chokehold and lost. He would get another undeserved chance at One Night Stand thanks to his love and SMACKDOWN GM Vickie Guerrero. Edge this time though was able to become the new World Heavyweight Champion as he was victorious.
